MEP Value Engineering Inc

WE PROVIDE DESIGN - BUILD SERVICES FOR AMENITY CENTERS, RETAIL, MEDICAL OFFICES, BUSINESS OFFICES, RESTAURANTS, STORAGE, COMMERCIAL, AND INDUSTRIAL.

Why have pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) become so popular?

Steel buildings have many advantages.

1. PEMBs never succumb to the elements like wood. Your building will never fade or rot. In addition, pests such as termites will never be able to do damage to the structure.

2. PEMBs can withstand hurricane-force winds, periodic tornadoes, and of course, constant rain and lightning.

3. Almost no maintenance is required, with most being guaranteed for 30 years.

4. PEMBs are incredibly quick and easy to install. Especially since many manufacturers provide installation services or sell easy-to-use kits.

After obtaining a PEMB, you will need to consider ventilation, air conditioning, electrical service, and potentially plumbing. MEP Value Engineering Inc. has offered these engineering services and more since 2020. We can work with the architect, building manufacturer, general contractor, or directly for the Owner. Our drawings meet all building codes.

We provide a convenient one-stop shop for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Interior Design, Security, Site Lighting, and Access control drawings. You provide the civil and structural drawings, and we’ll take you all the way to the permit.

At MEP Value Engineering Inc, we take pride in delivering the highest indoor air quality in the industry. We take into consideration more than just Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH). We also consider Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels, Particulate Matter, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Carbon Monoxide (CO), Formaldehyde, Ozone, Nitrogen Dioxide, Radon, Mold and Biological Contaminates. In many cases, it's more complicated than a simple code minimum air exchange rate calculation.

MEP Value Engineering AND DESIGN Inc team memeber goals

The goal of MEP engineering is to design, implement, and maintain the systems that make buildings comfortable, safe, and functional. MEP engineers are responsible for ensuring that the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a building work efficiently and effectively. Some of our primary goals include:

  • Comfort and Safety: MEP engineers aim to create indoor environments that are comfortable for occupants by providing proper heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. They also design electrical systems that are safe and reliable to prevent hazards like electrical fires and shocks.

  • Energy Efficiency: A major goal is to design MEP systems that are energy-efficient, reducing the environmental impact and operating costs of a building. This includes using energy-efficient lighting, HVAC equipment, and other electrical systems.

  • Sustainability: Promoting sustainability is increasingly important in MEP engineering. Engineers strive to incorporate green building practices, renewable energy sources, and energy-efficient technologies to minimize a building's impact on the environment.

  • Code Compliance: Ensuring that MEP systems meet local building codes and regulations is a critical goal. Engineers must stay up-to-date with the latest codes and standards to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Cost-Effectiveness: MEP engineers work to design systems that provide the necessary functionality while optimizing costs. They aim to find a balance between initial installation costs and long-term operational expenses.

  • System Reliability: MEP systems should be designed to be reliable and durable, minimizing downtime and maintenance requirements. This includes specifying high-quality components and materials.

  • Integration: Integration of MEP systems with other building systems, such as fire protection and security, is important to create a cohesive and well-coordinated building infrastructure.

  • Environmental Impact: Reducing the environmental impact of buildings is a growing concern. MEP engineers aim to minimize water usage, reduce carbon emissions, and promote sustainable practices in building design and operation.

  • Occupant Wellbeing: MEP systems should contribute to the health and wellbeing of building occupants. This includes providing good indoor air quality, adequate lighting, and proper thermal comfort.

  • Adaptability and Future-Proofing: Designing MEP systems that are adaptable to future technologies and changes in building use is important. MEP engineers need to consider the long-term flexibility and adaptability of the systems they design.

In summary, the overarching goal of our MEP engineering team is to create buildings that are safe, comfortable, energy-efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective while complying with regulations and codes and promoting occupant wellbeing. Achieving these goals requires a combination of technical expertise, innovative solutions, and a deep understanding of building systems and environmental considerations.
